Worldwide shipping update!

Happy Sunday!

I'm very happy to share the latest world-wide shipping information for Dungeon Drop: Dropped Too Deep and Tavern Tales. We are also nearing the end of the Drop Drive campaign, so we want to take one last moment to let you know all the amazing things that have evolved there!

Worldside Shipping

While we cannot control the global shipping timeframes and issues, we are directly responsible for the quality of the game and related products themselves, and we are THRILLED to be hearing nothing but super positive reactions from backers who have already received their pledges!! In particular, I think the Treasure Trunk is simply blowing people away :D. Needless to say, we are super proud!

Here's the latest shipping status for each region:

•  United States: The boat has been anchored at the docks for several weeks, waiting its turn to unload. We now have official word that the unloading will happen on October 27th. Then it makes its way through customs, and finally heads to our fulfillment center, Funagain Games. Based on all this, I estimate backer shipments will start around the middle of November.
•  Canada: Once the US inventory reaches Funagain Games, they will peel off your inventory and send it up to their partner in Canada. I am not actually sure who that partner is, since it's managed through Funagain Games, but I will try to find out and let you know so you have an idea where the packages will be coming from. Because of the extra leg to Canada, you are probably looking at end of November or beginning of December for these shipments to start.
•  Europe (minus UK): The inventory is now at our fulfillment center, Fulfillment Europe. They should start sending out backer shipments very soon, once they finish some other projects.
•  United Kingdom: Very similar to the US - the boat has been anchored and they will unload on October 26th. Then it makes its way through customs, and finally heads to our fulfillment center, Zatu. Based on all this, I estimate backer shipments will start around the middle of November.
•  Australia & New Zealand: The inventory is now at our fulfillment center, Aetherworks. They should start sending out backer shipments very soon, once they finish some other projects.
•  Asia: These backer shipments are already underway, via VFI Asia. We are thrilled to see many excited and elated backers receive their pledges across the continent! Some countries in Asia are dependent on their "HUB shipments." You can see the HUB status for Dungeon Drop (and all their other projects) on this page: http://vfi.asia/hubs/. 
•  Brazil: The boat from VFI Asia is already on its way to Brazil, where it will be delivered to the fulfillment center, Conclave Editoria. The boat just left Asia, and its voyage is expected to take about 60 days. So your shipments should be expected sometime in January timeframe.

This all definitely took longer (and WAY more money) than anyone could have previously expected or predicted, but we are stoked that most regions will have their pledges in hand well in time for the holidays!

Drop Drive has 4 days left!

If you've been on the fence about Drop Drive, allow us just a moment to tell you about some of the latest updates!

The campaign has been proceeding beautifully. We've had some amazing idea submissions from the community, and the pledges have been steadily rolling in over the course of the past 25 days. 

One important aspect we changed recently is the box size and shape. While we absolutely love the cute Dungeon Drop sized cube box, Drop Drive is a bigger game, with more components and a bit more depth. As such, we upgraded the box and came up with a clever approach for how the base game and Deluxe Upgrade boxes come together. Here's a quick clip that demonstrates this:

Finally, we are super proud to announce a free KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE Crossover pack that will be included in all pledges at the $27 level and above! This pack includes content for Drop Drive that features crossover characters (Space Boblin!) and monsters (Dark Jellies), as well as a new Huge Monster card that will allow you to add the Dark Jellies to your copy of Dungeon Drop!! Dungeon Drop fulfillment underway, and Drop Drive is in flight!

Happy Saturday!!

We have been getting reports that folks in Asia have been receiving their pledges, so we know fulfillment for at least some regions is now underway. For US, EU, and UK, of course we are at the mercy of the boats and the congestion at the docks, which is significant. That said, please know that your inventory is just a few stops away, so it should only be a few more weeks before your items start shipping too!

Drop Drive Kickstarter is in full flight!

For those of you who pre-pledged for our Shipping Shenanigans, or anyone who's ready to experience the next drop-style game set in infinite space, Drop Drive is live on Kickstarter with over 10 Stretch Goals unlocked!!

Drop Drive is a BRAND NEW "sandbox" game from the creators of Dungeon Drop - it's not just a "reskin"! There's so much to say about it, so if you would like to learn what we've been working on lately, please head over to the Kickstarter page and check it out!

Ocean freight confirmations

Hello all!

I'm exited to finally have official paperwork and details for each of the following ocean freight shipments:

• US: The final ship with our FULL container is the ONE OWL. That is a different ship than we previously mentioned, but often what happens is containers are shifted from one boat to another based on the actual shipping lanes. Whatever the case, the ONE OWL is set to land at Long Beach on September 29. Then the inventory makes its way to Funagain Games in Indianapolis. I expect fulfillment to backers would begin around the last week of October.
• EU: As expected, the ship with our inventory is the TITAN. The ship is currently headed for the Suez Canal, and is set to land in Hamburg, Germany on October 2. As with the US, I expect fulfillment to backers would begin around the last week of October based on this.
• UK: The ship with our inventory is the CMA CGM BENJAMIN FRANKLIN. The ship is also currently headed for the Suez Canal, and is set to land in Southampton on October 8. This likely means either late Oct or early Nov shipments to backers in the UK.

We do not have information for Australia / NZ at this time, since a separate logistics company handles those shipments. But we have every reason to believe things are in great shape there too. We will reach out to that company soon to try to get more insight.

That's all there is to report at the moment - I will continue to keep you posted as things progress.

Here's a quick shipping update for you, and next steps for those who pre-pledged for Shipping Shenanigans.

Shipping Update

All inventory has left the factory! Backer shipments are estimated to be delivered over September to November, depending on your region (Brazil and other "hub-based" destinations will take longer). Asian backers should start to see their shipments very shortly, while container ships make their way to other countries.   

NOTE: Because there are still global shipping delays out of our control, there is no way we can be more precise about final shipment timeframes, until we know the inventory has landed and cleared customs in each country - we will keep you posted as these steps proceed.  

For those who like to track the boats, here are the names of each ship and their marine tracking links:

• Boat for the US lane: YM WREATH
• Boat for the EU lane: TITAN
• Boat for the UK lane: APL MERLION

I do not have information on the Australia, NZ, or Brazil boats, since those lanes are arranged by another company entirely.  We will keep you posted as things progress!

This takes us to our final point for today's update: Drop Drive is coming in just a few weeks!

Gather your crew and prepare to explore the vast reaches of infinite space! Your newly installed rocket drive will aid in mining asteroids teeming with valuable resources, while your experimental drop drive will allow you to reach distant and unknown destinations. Make orbit around strange worlds to sell off your cargo, pick up passengers, and discover alien specimens, while battling unscrupulous pirates hell-bent on profiting off your tireless efforts...  ...it's time to drop into infinite space!

Drop Drive is the spiritual successor to Dungeon Drop! The new game from Scott R. Smith offers a full "sandbox game" experience, playable in 30 minutes. Mine asteroids, shuttle strange passengers, collect alien specimens, and battle pirates... all within an infinitely randomized solar system!

Drop Drive essentially carries forward the initial "drop mechanic" from Dungeon Drop, but from there the two games depart from one another entirely. In Drop Drive, you have an actual space ship on the board at all times, navigating asteroids, mining for ore, battling pirate ships, orbiting planets, picking up passengers, collecting alien specimens, and so on.

Are you ready to drop into space?!

Quick update to ask everyone that needs to change their shipping address in the pledge manager, please do so now. You can access your pledge manager survey at the original link emailed to you. If you no longer have your survey link, you can recover it here: https://dropped-too-deep.backerkit.com/

Inventory has been loaded on boats and/or picked up at the factory, so we're getting close to final delivery! Once I have exact landing dates from our logistics companies I will let everyone know when you can expect your region's individual shipments, but things are proceeding smoothly (all things considered!).
