US & Canada shipping update

Hope everyone is recuperating well from the holidays and ready to take 2022 head-on! 

Now let's chat about the final fulfillment details for this campaign...

US and Canada Shipping

I finally have official word from my US warehouse (Funagain Games). Let me start by stating the obvious: Covid caused tremendous obstacles across the board. I won't bore you with repeating what you've likely heard from countless other campaigns at this point - it is what it is. Funagain Games, like us and so many others, experienced tremendous setbacks over the months. I'm just super glad there's some radiant light at the end of this particular tunnel!

US: As of today, I'm being told that Funagain Games will be fulfilling US backers over February. In fact, they indicated it would likely be on the earlier side of February, but I'm trying to set your expectations a little more conservatively. Regardless, based on what I've heard, I'm fairly confident that February is realistic at this point. Of course if there are any changes to this outside our (or their) control, I will update you immediately.

CANADA: Funagain will also soon be sending up the necessary inventory to their partner in Canada for all Canadian backers, so hopefully they can start fulfilling as close to the same timeframe as possible. We will need to update you further about this once we hear from them directly, however.

I know it's been a much longer road than expected, and of course US backers aren't quite accustomed to being at the end of the line like this (since most other regions have already finished fulfillment)...  but, we are indeed in a very different world right now.

Wanted to update everyone on the global shipping status, since there have been positive movements in ALL regions:

• US: We are super pleased to announce that the inventory has left the California docks and already made its way to our warehouse in Indianapolis! This means as soon as Funagain Games clears out their other projects (of which they do have many, since we were not the only publisher pushing to get their inventory released), they will start fulfilling backers orders!! IMPORTANT: Funagain Games has already indicated there's no way backer shipments will go out before the holidays, so you should not expect to receive your shipping notification emails prior to the new year. I would expect those to go out in January, but I will need to wait until Funagain Games gives me a precise timeframe before I can confirm this. The good news is we now have all the inventory in our direct control - no more customs, freight carriers, or closed docks to deal with!
• Canada: You are shortly behind the US. As soon as Funagain Games gets our project on the front burner, they will ship necessary inventory to their Canadian partner, who will then begin working on your orders.
• Australia & New Zealand: Shipments are starting to go out from Aetherworks now! Look for your notification email soon.
• UK: All shipments have gone out from Zatu! If you don't receive your package by Saturday, feel free to reach out and we can investigate.
• Europe (non-UK): All shipments have gone out from Fulfillment Europe!
• Asia, Africa, & Brazil: All shipments have gone out from VFI Asia! Reminder that some of those shipments go to sub-regional hubs - you can check this page for hub shipment status: http://vfi.asia/hubs/ 
• Rest Of World: Depending on your region, your shipment may already have gone out, via VFI Asia, or for some regions you may be tied to the US hub (Funagain Games). Rest assured, now that our US inventory is close to getting prepped for delivery, you should be getting your shipment soon enough regardless of where you are!

For those who pre-pledged for the Shipping Shenanigans fundraiser expansion pack...

You should have received a pledge manager survey for our Drop Drive campaign (whether or not you also backed Drop Drive), and Shipping Shenanigans has been pre-added to your "cart" at no cost. If you don't see it there, or if you didn't receive a survey link for any reason, please reach out to me at [email protected] and we'll make sure you get you the right link fixed up.

Just a quick update regarding the worldwide shipping status and general Shipping Shenanigans logistics.

Worldwide shipping update

•  US: I am in awe at how crazy the situation is at the docks in LA right now. I believe our cargo passed through customs some time ago, so that's not the issue. The issue is many of the terminals at the docks are closed, either due to shortage of labor, unavailability of truck drivers, and/or weather issues. So our inventory is literally sitting in its original crate at one of these terminals, just waiting to be picked up...  alongside several thousand other crates. We were told Tuesday this week that they are probably going to move a bunch of these crates to another active terminal, where they can presumably start moving quicker. That's literally all I can say at the moment - this problem extends WAY past us and our little project here, so we're just going to need to continue waiting. I will tell you everything I know, as I learn it. 
•  Canada: You're with us in the US at the moment ;)  Once Funagain Games gets all the inventory, they will immediately peel off the appropriate amounts to be sent up to Pick & Pack in Canada, and then they can start prepping your packages.
•  Europe (minus UK): DONE! If you are in the EU and you have not received your shipping notification, please reach out to us via [email protected] and we will investigate for you.
•  UK: Zatu will begin shipping orders the middle of next week!
•  Asia & Brazil: Shipping now! Note that you may be in a country that depends on one of VFI Asia's "HUB Shipments" - you can reference this page for status on their HUB Shipments: http://vfi.asia/hubs/
•  Australia & New Zealand: Aetherworks will start shipping orders a the end of November!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: When you do get your shipment, please look for a your replacement Dropped Too Deep rulebook(s) that will be placed LOOSE IN THE SHIPPING CARTON. 

While the US (and Canada) is in an unfortunate situation, I'm actually fairly pleased with how smoothly everything has been going across the globe, all things considered. 

Shipping Shenanigans update

I now have details on the Shipping Shenanigans fulfillment process will work for all scenarios:

•  For those who are not purchasing Shipping Shenanigans: Each order cost us about $10 more to ship than originally expected. Just over 1000 backers pre-pledged for the Shipping Shenanigans pack (which was designed to help with this), but about 3000 backers did not. That means we essentially paid about $30,000 out of our pocket to ship you your pledges (no exaggeration). We decided not to force everyone to pay the extra $10, as other publishers are doing, but we would GREATLY appreciate a $10 boost from you - you can easily "purchase" a $5 or $10 boost via our web store here: https://www.phaseshiftgames.com/store.html. Many thanks in advance!! 
•  For those who pre-pledged Shipping Shenanigans AND backed Drop Drive: We will add the Shipping Shenanigans to your Drop Drive pledge. You will see it in your pledge manager once you gain access to it (in a week or two). If you used a different email address for the pre-pledge on our site from your Kickstarter email address, please let me know both email addresses so I can match up your orders (email me at [email protected], if you haven't already). NOTE: If you backed Drop Drive and added Shipping Shenanigans to your order as part of that pledge, you are also covered by this case!
•  For those who pre-pledged Shipping Shenanigans and did NOT back Drop Drive: We will create a pledge manager order for you as part of the Drop Drive campaign. The order will contain a single copy of Shipping Shenanigans (which you have already paid for), and then from there you will be able to enter your address information and eventually pay the shipping costs for the pack. You will also be able to upgrade this order to include Drop Drive or other products, should you wish to do that.
•  For those who did not pre-pledge Shipping Shenanigans, but would like to get in on the action: We will open our Drop Drive late pledge system within a week or two, and we'll certainly let folks here know about it. So look for that, and prepare to drop into infinite space!

Just a quick notice and shipping update for you...

Updated Rulebook Notice

Quick notice for everyone, as packages are starting to be received across most of the globe: There will be a REPLACEMENT RULEBOOK for Dungeon Drop: Dropped Too Deep added to your shipping carton, so PLEASE make sure to look for it! There was a misprint on pages 4 and 9 in the original Dropped Too Deep rulebook (the example images that covered over some of the content), so you can throw that one out and keep just the replacement. 

Shipping Status

Other than that, here's the quick update per region:

• US: Inventory is at the docks, awaiting pickup. I am uncertain if that means it has been through customs or not, but I expect to hear clarity on that VERY soon. More to come.
• Canada: You're with us in the US at the moment ;)  Once Funagain Games gets all the inventory, they will immediately peel off the appropriate amounts to be sent up to Pick & Pack in Canada, and then they can start prepping your packages.
